The Stick - Sharpness Tester

You step out onto the ice and you find out your skates are dull or have been sharpened improperly. You thought they were sharp! The Stick was designed to help you, the player/parent, check your skates before you step out on the ice.

Rather than use your fingernails to determine if your skates are sharp, The Stick will give you that information while saving your fingernails! It can be attached to your keychain or hockey bag so that it will always be handy and nearby. The Stick comes complete with instructions and some tips on what to look for on your skate blades.

Instructions:

Hold The Stick at a 45 degree angle. Slide it across the edge of the blade, with enough pressure applied to have The Stick peel material away. Repeat at intervals along the length of the blade (both sides). If The Stick at any time slides freely across the blade with no material removed, then your edge is most likely gone!
